FPL Gameweeks 30 - 34
In what is the penultimate FPL post of the season I have mixed emotions. Excited to see the culmination of this footballing season yet sad for it to end so abruptly. We’ve had 36 Gameweeks filled with drama and suspense, but with two weeks to spare it seems as if we a winner in CK. Barring any major slip ups he will emerge victorious, which would be well-deserved. In the Premier League it is a straight two-horse race between Arsenal and Manchester City for the title, with the latter 1 point behind with a game in hand.
Focusing on GW 30 - 34, we saw the highest score of the season thus far posted by Chrissyleboss XI with 122 points in GW 34. Over this period we saw three players register a perfect record: Yessirree FC (who has nine consecutive victories), Agueroooooooo, and Undisputed. This coincides with the goal difference tallies where Undisputed & Agueroooooooo finished first and second respectively with +150 & +143, with Yessirree FC 4th with +88. Seven players had a 4-0-1 record, with ChaBALRS noticeably high scoring with a goal difference of +132. On the other side, two players succumbed to a 0-0-5 record, namely TA TA TA (goal difference of -148 which was the worst in the league) and World Class XI (goal difference of -69). The latter should consider himself unlucky as he had narrow losses in GW 30 & 33 by two and four points.
Delving into Graph 1, IamHimFC is at the foot of the table with 179 points from the five fixtures (and second worst goal difference of 115), whilst ChaBALRS tops the league with 373, closely followed by Agueroooooooo (with 372 points) and All of nothing V3 (with 369 points). Across these gameweeks compared to the previous chunk of games there are very few anomalous cases whereby those scoring in the top half of the league possessed a negative goal difference (and vice versa), with WeBackAgain placed 15th in total points -19 in GD, King Manny FC placed 18th with -40, and Luke Sure placed 19th with +56.
To Graph 2 and its depictions of the position changes, TA TA TA slid the furthest, down 7 places to 23rd, whilst Caleb XI ascended an impressive 9 places to 18th following a 4-0-1 record. 9 players were unchanged (those at the top and bottom of the league) whilst Luke Sure & Mainoo Shoes were the second highest risers (4 places) compared to JCFC who slid the second furthest down (5 positions).
Four games are left in the season, but there is much to play for. The race for second is as close as can be with Rassclart Addz & Undisputed tied with identical records. Positions 4-10 are separated by just 5 points, 11-17 by 8 points, & 18-26 by 4 points (5 players tied on 49 and 4 players tied on 45).
